John has helped nonprofits grow and break new grounds in their marketing programs for over 20 years. He began his career working with rescue missions across the United States, with Union Gospel Mission being one of his early clients, partnering with these organizations to create integrated fundraising programs to connect with donors at deeper levels. He’s built enterprise-level centralized direct response marketing programs and developed offer and audience strategies for organizations including the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity. He provides oversight to ensure that the resources of Altus Marketing are focused on growth and innovation for our client partners.

Alex Edwards

Alex has been helping nonprofit organizations grow and expand their reach for 19 years, including the last 10 years at RKD Group where he developed fundraising solutions for dozens of rescue missions, animal welfare organizations, and over a hundred food banks. Prior to RKD, he spent 3 years at Feeding America and 5 years at Care & Share Food Bank for southern Colorado, serving as COO and Interim CEO. Alex leads the growth initiatives at Altus Marketing through the acquisition of new clients, growth of exiting client relationships, & product development. Alex will provide high-level leadership and strategic direction and be involved in annual and quarterly planning meetings.

Heather Rocheleau

Heather brings over 17 years of experience in nonprofit marketing to her role as Sr. Account Director at Altus Marketing. Prior to joining Altus Marketing, Heather was Group Account Director at One & All where she oversaw their Rescue Missions fundraising program and previously worked with Union Gospel Mission. Her extensive knowledge of both strategy and production allows her to tailor proven strategies to best accomplish her clients’ unique fundraising and communication goals. She is passionate about fundraising and about cultivating generosity in others, especially in her work with Missions. She will provide day-to-day leadership to your team and ours, ensuring that we are delivering on your expectations and capturing new opportunities together to keep your program innovative and growing.

Heather Watkins

Account Supervisor

Heather brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit development and fundraising. Heather is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and during her tenure has worked with other rescue mission clients of Altus. Prior to joining the agency, she served as Director of Donor Relations and Communication for Literacy Achieves, a social services and education nonprofit, and as Development Manager for the Commemorative Air Force where she was the in-house representative for their national direct response program. As a primary point-of-contact, she will help put your plan into action and oversee the creation of your campaigns. She will serve as an intermediary between you and various internal teams to ensure your campaigns meet your goals and adhere to your brand standards.

Randi Footlik

Randi brings over 30 years of direct response fundraising experience. Her clients have included notable social service organizations, including Union Gospel Mission and the American Red Cross, 60+ additional members of the Feeding America network, and dozens of rescue missions across the country. Randi will use her extensive expertise to lead the creative team in developing strategic offers, data-driven strategies, concepts, copy and design, and multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns for you. As a creative leader, she empowers her team members to innovate as they strive to help you strengthen donor relationships.

Adam Szarzynski

Adam has an extensive marketing strategy and analytics background. He recently left Addressable, a direct response company he co-founded. He oversaw the targeting and development for high-value donor cultivation products for clients such as Feeding America, The Salvation Army, The Nature Conservancy, and others. Before Addressable, Adam was an Insights Analyst at One & All (formerly Russ Reid). He ran donor file audits, testing research, and ad hoc analysis for regional and national charities such as The American Red Cross, Ducks Unlimited, and Mercy Ships. Adam is obsessed with uncovering the answers to tough questions using data and will create your annual donor report and customized reporting for you.

 

Julia Boyd

Julia leads digital strategy, overseeing the successful deployment of digital media, effective email campaigns, website design and management, and emerging technology such as, Connected TV, Augmented and Virtual Reality, and machine learning and AI. Julia’s career began in the for-profit sector with a focus on digital strategy, execution, and analysis for over 12 years. She has managed nationwide and regional based accounts day-to-day operations for integrated annual direct response programs. Julia’s fundraising and client experience includes The Salvation Army California South Division, Trans World Radio, and multiple rescue missions. Julia will develop your digital marketing plan and engage our subject matter experts in each channel to ensure effective integration with all online and offline campaigns.

Jen built her 20-year career in Operations focusing on creating balance across the elements of process, production, and finance. Her work has reduced error rates, improved on-time delivery, and saved money for rescue missions, including Union Gospel Mission Portland, as well as animal welfare organizations and food banks.

 

Jamie Veltri

Jamie brings more than 20 years of experience in direct response marketing, strategic analysis, and development utilizing all media channels, including television, digital, radio, and direct mail. Jamie’s client experience includes work on behalf of food banks, rescue missions, The Salvation Army, numerous cancer and medical centers, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Save the Children, and Project Hope. Jamie will develop annual acquisition strategies, providing a holistic view of acquisition opportunities and optimizing channels with consideration of net LTV to generate the most longterm net revenue to meet your goals.

Vanessa Lucas

Media Planner

Vanessa is analytics-minded and strategy-focused, bringing nearly 10 years of direct response experience, working with nonprofits to achieve their fundraising goals in direct mail. From her start in account management to spending the last few years optimizing and executing acquisition strategies, Vanessa has worked with various nonprofits, including many food banks, Meals on Wheels, animal welfare organizations, and children’s hospitals. She works closely with Jamie and our partners at AudienceFirst Media, creating your acquisition plans, including list selection and merge instructions.
